This retrofit column is designed to fit your Ford Truck and does NOT require modification to your original vehicle to install. This GM Style column features a GM top shaft and a 3 7/8" Wiring Plug. Pre-welded underdash mounts are included with all 1965-66 columns and are designed to fit your application. Use a Borgeson Rag Joint to install your new steering column in place of the old. Using an adaptor, add an aftermarket steering wheel and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original. The shift pattern on these columns allow you to use either a 3 or 4-speed automatic transmission. The 1965-66 column shift column comes complete with a neutral safety switch. A gear shift indicator is an option, but not included. A shift linkage (new or original) is required for installation and will attach to the lower shift arm provided on the column.
