Description:

Convert the electronic sway bar on your Jeep Wrangler JK to a more reliable manual cable with a JKS Sway Bar Cable Conversion Kit. The electronic front sway bar disconnect system or SmartBar equipped on Wrangler JK Rubicon models was a welcome addition and a strong selling point for those of us who take our vehicles off-road. If you prefer a good old-fashioned manual solution, this heavy duty cable conversion ensures positive engagement and disengagement -- even on uneven surfaces. Sheathing protects the cable and ensures smooth operation. The included 2-way drill guide facilitates drilling during installation.

Buyer's Guide

End Link Buyer's Guide

End links, aka sway bar links, are the small connectors that tie your sway bar to the rest of the suspension. They transfer suspension movement into the sway bar so that the bar can resist body roll. Read more about how sway bars work here.

Fixed vs. Adjustable End Links

If end links are not the correct length, they can twist the sway bar at rest, leading left turns and right turns to feel different. This is called preload and can happen after lowering your vehicle or otherwise adjusting suspension geometry.

Adjustable end links allow you to change their length and are used to remove sway bar preload and restore proper handling. If end links did not come with your sway bar or you're replacing your existing end links, make sure to find ones specifically compatible with your vehicle. You can find all the parts you need and plan your build on RideBuilder.
