UMI Performance UMI tunnel-mounted Torque Arm fits 700R4 or T5, bolt-in installation. 2217-B

Description:

This torque arm is designed to be mounted in the tunnel and is compatible with both the factory 700R4 automatic transmission and manual T5 5-speed transmission. It comes with a new transmission crossmember that can work with both transmission types, without requiring any modifications. This bolt-in design protects the tail shaft of the transmission and allows for easy adjustments to the instant center point of the vehicle. The torque arm is attached to the cross brace using polyurethane bushings, which help reduce road noise and absorb shocks. The rear mounting points are designed to fit various rear-end housings and can be installed with basic hand tools, without the need for welding or drilling. Benefits of this torque arm include protecting the transmission, improving traction, reducing nose dive during braking, and allowing for on-car pinion angle adjustments. For compatibility with certain rear-ends, a rear torque arm hardware kit may be required. Overall, this torque arm setup offers a practical and efficient solution for improving the performance of your vehicle.
